Welcome to Star Wars Reactions!
Thank you for checking out our site and our show. I wanted to take a moment to let you know who we are, what we are about, and what our goals are.
As you know we are not a new show. Originally known as Resistance Reactions, we spent the last two years reviewing the hit TV show, Star Wars Resistance. Unfortunately, Resistance ended January 26th and we (David and I) wanted to continue podcasting. We felt that with the name Resistance Reactions we would get boxed in very easy in what our corner of the galaxy was. This was not something we wanted. So, we felt a rebranding was in order. We considered a several options but we wanted to stay as true to our original show as possible while expanding our “reactions” to include other parts of the Saga. It was from those thoughts that Star Wars Reactions as birthed.
Now I would be lying if I said this all came together overnight. It has taken a lot more planning and work than I originally planned. From deciding on a name, to building the website, to updating music, and more. There is so much more to consider than just changing a name and we had a ton of help in doing so. So I want to take a moment and thank a few people who spent a lot of time helping us out. I want to start with Dan Z from Coffee With Kenobi.
In case you were unaware, up until January 1st, 2020, we were a part of the CWK family of podcasts lead fearlessly and wisely by Dan. He went above and beyond the call of duty in answering the hundreds of questions I kept fielding him. From show ideas to this website, he was a bastion of knowledge and he was very generous in sharing his thoughts, ideas, and feedback with us. Thank you Dan for being such an excellent friend and mentor through this whole process and for constantly encouraging me to be the best I could be in every situation.
Cory Clubb. Cory has selflessly helped us out by designing our show logos! Incredible, aren’t they? Cory, of course, is an award winning designer and co-founder of Coffee With Kenobi. He is responsible for the logo designs for both Rebels Reactions and Resistance Reactions. When I approached him about designing a logo for us, he didn’t hesitate at all. We sent him some ideas and came back with several outstanding designs! His work is outstanding and captured the essence of everything this show will be. Thank you so much Cory for helping us out. It’s a privilege to have one of your designs as our logo.
Randy Therio. Randy you may know as one of the original hosts of the podcast Legend’s Library. What you don’t know is that Randy is responsible for the opening and closing music played on each of our shows. He wonderfully picks out the best music, clips and effects and blends them seamlessly into something that blows my mind every time I listen. Randy really out did himself this time around for us. Its the first opening I have heard that gave me chills when I hear it. He also jumped in and helped us as we were coming up with sayings and catchphrases for the show. He is actually the mind behind our new catchphrase: “Elegant discussion for a more civilized era.” Randy, we can never thank you enough for all the hard work and time you put into designing our music. If it wasn’t for you, nothing about this show would be the same. Your hard work sets the tone for everything we do afterwards. Thank you Randy.
Matt Moore. Matt is one half of the amazing hosting team over at Star Wars Splash Page. Matt answered my call for help when I reached out after having issues with our name change on a particular social media account. I knew from a recent show we recorded together that he had a similar issue when they updated their name (they were originally Comics With Kenobi). Matt was able to help me walk through the ends and outs of it, what to say if we got some kick back and sent over some screenshots of what to do when going through the steps to make the change. Thank you so much Matt for taking time out of your busy schedule to help us out.
Of course, I want to take a moment to thank David for partnering with me. We had a wild and fun ride through Resistance and I know its only going to get better going forward. Thanks David for your friendship and hard work each week preparing for each episode. I couldn’t have done any of this without you brother!
Last but certainly not least, I want to thank each and every one of you who listen in each week. We know there are a lot of Star Wars podcasts out there you could be listening to but we appreciate you taking us with you each week. We love you all and appreciate all the support you give us each and every week.
So here is to the launch of Star Wars Reactions! The future is looking bright for sure. I don’t know about you, we are so looking forward to what the future holds.
May the Force be with you.
